Stormwater Education
NjEMO, or the NJ Nonpoint Education for Municipal Officials Program was developed to teach municipal officials about Stormwater legislation, and how to improve the quality of stormwater runoff in their community. The NEMO program is a national initiative to deal with land use and water quality issues through research based education. Here at Rutgers Cooperative Research and Extension, Jan Larson and Chris Obropta recently finished a grant that provided a binder of educational materials to each Municipality in Ocean County. This page will summarize some of that information, and provide links to stormwater resources for the community.
